Galaxy A08 Design Looks Just Like Galaxy A07

Galaxy A08

A newly leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy A08 shows a phone that looks almost identical to last year’s Galaxy A07, and that’s really the headline here. The design carries over thick display bezels, a U-shaped waterdrop notch, two rear cameras, and a glossy rear panel, with the leaked unit shown in green. There’s no major visual redesign on show, just a conventional flat-screen look that Samsung has clearly decided doesn’t need fixing. From the front, the A08 and A07 could be genuinely hard to tell apart.

Line the two phones up and the similarities are hard to miss. Both use a flat display, a U-shaped notch, and thick bezels. Both stick with two rear cameras and a glossy back. The overall impression is entry-level through and through, and nothing about the leak points to a major redesign. Samsung also appears to be applying this same design to both the 4G and 5G versions of the A08, though the leaked image itself doesn’t confirm which variant is pictured.

The one area where Samsung does seem to be pushing forward is battery life. The  6,000mAh cell in the Galaxy A08, up from the 5,000mAh battery in the Galaxy A07, a 1,000mAh jump.

Current reporting points to the Galaxy A08 4G arriving around October 2026, with the Galaxy A08 5G following around February 2027. Samsung hasn’t put an official date on either launch, but the phone has already worked its way through several databases and certifications, which usually means development is well along. It’s a similar pattern to how the Galaxy A18 4G leaked with nearly the same design and a bigger price tag ahead of its own reveal.

The paper trail on the A08 goes back further than this latest image. In April, the Galaxy A08 4G showed up in the GSMA database under model number SM-A085F, widely read as confirmation that it’s positioned as the A07 4G’s successor. More recently, Samsung’s own regional support pages for the Galaxy A08 went live, another sign the launch is getting closer, and the device has also turned up on the FCC and Google Play Console according to recent reporting.

Details are still thin. The Galaxy A08 4G carries model number SM-A085F, sticks to 4G/LTE connectivity, and is reportedly getting that 6,000mAh battery alongside the A07-style design, U-shaped notch, thick bezels, and dual rear cameras, with an October 2026 launch expected. The Galaxy A08 5G is expected to follow in February 2027 with the same basic design, though its detailed specs aren’t known yet. Samsung hasn’t confirmed a full spec sheet for either version, and it’s a similarly early picture to what’s circulated so far around the Galaxy A18’s expected color and storage options.
