New details about Samsung’s next budget phone are trickling out ahead of an expected autumn launch. WinFuture’s Roland Quandt reported on September 2, 2026, that the Galaxy A18 4G will come in 128GB and 256GB storage options, with color choices of Light Blue, Black, and Silver Black had already shown up in earlier CAD renders, so the other two are the new information here.
Separately, the A18 4G has already turned up on Geekbench with a Helio G99 chip, the same processor used in the Galaxy A17 4G, along with 4GB of RAM, Android 17, and One UI 9.0 out of the box. The listing scored 745 single-core and 2,073 multi-core, numbers that suggest raw performance isn’t changing much this generation a pattern similar to what’s shown up in benchmark testing on Samsung’s other budget Helio-powered models.
A separate Galaxy A18 5G is also expected, reportedly switching to a Qualcomm chip instead of the Exynos 1330 the A17 5G used, and likely arriving after the 4G model rather than alongside it.
Design-wise, earlier CAD leaks pointed to a look close to the A17’s, with the same Infinity-U notch and vertical triple-camera layout, alongside a roughly 6.7-inch 90Hz AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery, though none of that has been confirmed by Samsung yet. Pricing hasn’t been announced either, with estimates so far only pointing toward something close to the A17’s roughly $200 starting point.
