Samsung Galaxy A18 4G Leaks in Full Same Look, Bigger Price

Galaxy A18 4G

The Samsung Galaxy A18 4G has leaked in complete detail, courtesy of exclusive images and specs from Android Headlines, and the headline takeaway is that it looks nearly identical to the outgoing A17 4G while costing considerably more.

Visually, there’s very little separating the two phones. The A18 4G keeps the same flat display with a top camera notch, a noticeably thick bottom bezel, and a raised “Key Island” section on the right edge housing the power and volume buttons. Around back, a vertical triple-camera module sits in the top-left corner and protrudes slightly from the frame. It’s shown in Black, Light Blue, and Silver colors that line up with what earlier reports from tipster Roland Quandt had already pointed to.

The internals barely move either. The display is a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel at 90Hz, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, running on the same MediaTek Helio G99 chip the A17 4G used a processor that’s shown up across Samsung’s budget lineup for a while now, including on devices like the Galaxy A36 further up the range. RAM is set at 4GB, with 128GB or 256GB storage options and microSD expansion up to 2TB. The 5,000mAh battery carries over too, along with 25W wired charging, IP64 dust and splash resistance, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3. On the camera side, it’s a 50MP main sensor at f/1.8 paired with a 5MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro lens. The phone measures 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.7mm and weighs 193 grams.

Samsung is also expected to launch a 5G version alongside it, sharing the same design and nearly identical specs, with Android Headlines noting the two models could differ slightly in color options depending on part numbers.

The real story here is price. The Galaxy A18 4G’s base model reportedly starts at €299, a big jump from the €199 the A17 4G launched at. Given how little has actually changed on the hardware side, that increase stands out, and the most likely explanation is rising component costs in line with the same memory and chip cost pressures that have been pushing Samsung’s Galaxy A and F-series prices up across several markets recently.

With the design, specs, and pricing now laid out in detail, the Galaxy A18 4G looks close to launch-ready, even though Samsung hasn’t made anything official yet.
