Galaxy A34 Starts Getting Stable One UI 9 in South Korea, Its Final Major Android Update

Samsung Galaxy A54 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A35 5G specs

Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy A34 5G in South Korea, according to Tarun Vats. The update follows the stable builds that reached the Galaxy A55 and A35 in South Korea, and it moves the A34 from the testing list to the rollout list. Samsung hasn’t announced the update itself, so the details below come from the report.

DetailInfo
PhoneGalaxy A34 5G (SM-A346N, Korean model)
UpdateStable One UI 9, based on Android 17
RegionSouth Korea
PDA buildA346NKSUFGZJ8
CSC buildA346NOKRFGZJ8
Third build listedA346NKOUFGZJ9, differs from the other two
Download size and security patchNot confirmed
Other regionsNot announced

The post lists three build numbers, and the third one doesn’t match the first two. The first two end in ZJ8 and the third ends in ZJ9 with a different middle section, so it may be a typo or a separate component of the package. Until the update shows up in Samsung’s own records or on more devices, the exact build list should be treated with some care. The download size and security patch level aren’t given, so there is no basis yet for saying which October patch the update carries.

Development of One UI 9 for the A34 was first reported in June, and until now it had been listed as in testing with no stable date. Some schedules going around pointed to early November for this release, but those weren’t official, and Samsung hasn’t confirmed any dates. The Galaxy A56 and A36 and the Galaxy A37 got theirs in South Korea earlier, so other regions will probably follow for the A34 as well, but timing can differ by model and carrier.

The A34 launched in 2023 with Android 13 and Samsung promised four Android upgrades, so Android 17 is expected to be its last major one, with security updates after that. If you own an A34 in South Korea, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. The update may take a few days to reach everyone.
