Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 in South Korea. The A56, sold locally as the Galaxy Quantum 6, was reported by users on Samsung’s community forum, and the A36 is getting the same update. It comes after more than a month of beta testing and moves Samsung’s stable rollout from the 2026 A-series phones, including the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A27, to their 2025 predecessors. It’s the same One UI 9 update seen on other Galaxy devices, so there’s no new feature set to cover.
| Device | Region | Firmware |
| Galaxy A56 (Galaxy Quantum 6) | South Korea | A566SKSUADZJ1 |
| Galaxy A36 | South Korea | A366NKSU9DZIF |
Rollouts like this typically widen to other regions within days, but Samsung hasn’t announced dates for individual markets, and download size for either phone hasn’t been reported.
Galaxy A56 and A36 owners can check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it doesn’t show up yet, check again later, since availability depends on region and device variant.
