If accurate, Samsung isn’t just refreshing its foldables this year, it’s expanding the family with a new Ultra model and rethinking the Fold’s shape entirely.
Three Foldables Instead of Two
The leak points to three devices launching together: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The Ultra addition is the bigger story here, marking the first time Samsung has extended Ultra branding into its foldable lineup.
For years, the biggest complaint about the Z Fold series has been its tall, narrow cover screen that makes one-handed use awkward. Leaks suggest Samsung is finally addressing that with a wider cover display, a shorter overall height, and a slimmer, lighter build, a real departure from the design language Samsung has stuck with since the original Fold.
Galaxy Z Fold 8

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
If the Fold 8 is the refined everyday foldable, the Ultra is shaping up to be the camera flagship of the two. Reports point to a massive 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto lens, easily the most ambitious camera setup Samsung has put on a foldable. A larger 5,000mAh battery and 27 hours of claimed video playback round out the upgrade.
Flex Titanium
Alongside the redesign, Samsung is bringing its new Flex Titanium display structure to the Fold 8 series, aimed at reducing crease visibility and improving overall durability, a detail that should matter to anyone who’s worried about long-term foldable wear.
Galaxy Z Flip 8
Not every device in the leak is getting a dramatic overhaul. The Z Flip 8 reportedly sticks with an Exynos 2600 chip, a 6.9-inch main display, and a 4,300mAh battery specs that suggest a fairly incremental step over its predecessor rather than a redesign.
