Samsung just gave away its own surprise. A promotional page on Samsung Malaysia’s official website has all but confirmed that Galaxy Unpacked is happening on July 22, 2026 and the new foldables are ready. The company was promoting pre-registrations for the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8, with the fine print stating that redemption vouchers worth RM700 become valid starting July 22, 2026. Since Samsung opens sales immediately after revealing new Galaxy devices, the math is simple.
Samsung hasn’t officially announced the event date or venue but London, United Kingdom has been consistently named as the expected location across multiple recent reports, making July 22 a Galaxy Unpacked in London the strongest working assumption right now.
The most significant structural change in this year’s foldable lineup is the addition of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, a new tier above the standard Fold8, giving Samsung a proper flagship foldable for the first time. The Ultra reportedly gets a larger 5,000mAh battery, upgraded ultra-wide camera, enhanced Galaxy AI features, and premium build improvements all riding the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy as the standard model.
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 itself is expected to arrive with a significantly wider book-style design compared to previous generations Samsung’s direct response to the criticism that older Fold phones felt too narrow. A brighter foldable display, smaller front camera cutout, refined hinge with reduced crease visibility, and One UI 9 based on Android 17 complete the expected package.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 rounds out the lineup with slimmer bezels, processor upgrades some markets reportedly receiving the Exynos 2600 and Galaxy AI improvements while keeping the familiar clamshell form factor intact.
Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 are also expected to share the Unpacked stage alongside the three foldables.
Nothing is officially confirmed beyond Samsung Malaysia’s own promotional material accidentally pointing directly at the date.
