Galaxy A15 5G Stable One UI 9 Expands Beyond South Korea

Galaxy A07 5G, Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57

Samsung has started expanding stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy A15 5G beyond South Korea, and its software update record for the SM-A156E lists firmware A156EDXUAFZJC dated November 2, 2026 with the October 5 security patch. Reports say India is among the first markets, with the update going to beta participants first on a build ending in AFZJC and weighing about 300MB. It follows the One UI 9 beta 3 that the similar Galaxy A16 5G got in India earlier this month, and the A15 5G had its own beta track before this.

The two build names aren’t the same, so it is worth being careful. Samsung’s page confirms that the A156EDXUAFZJC firmware was released on November 2, but it doesn’t say which country it belongs to. The India reports name A156EPXUAFZJC for the first beta-participant package, and Samsung hasn’t published a full list of markets. The record also confirms only the firmware release, so it doesn’t prove that every A15 5G owner has received the update over the air yet. Rollouts usually come in batches, and regular users are expected to follow the beta group.

The changes Samsung’s record names are mostly the standard One UI 9 ones: more control over rearranging the Quick Panel, a quick lock that blocks biometric unlock after you press Volume down and Side together, a blue indicator when an app uses your location, a redesigned Samsung Health app with new trend charts and a heart health score, and new accessibility tools such as Text spotlight and Select to speak.

The A15 5G already received stable One UI 9 in South Korea on October 28, where it is sold as the Galaxy Buddy 3 with build A156LKSUAEZJC. This applies to the A15 5G only, and the Galaxy A15 4G isn’t covered by these records. Other budget A-series phones got the update earlier, such as the Galaxy A56 and A36 in South Korea and the Galaxy A55 and A35.

If you own an A15 5G, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. If it doesn’t show up yet, check again over the next few days.
