Samsung has released the third One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy A16 5G in India, according to a Samsung Community post. The build fixes three reported issues and brings the October 2026 security patch.
| Detail | Galaxy A16 5G |
| Update | One UI 9.0 Beta 3 (Android 17) |
| Firmware | A166PXXU9ZZJ8 |
| Download size | 303.46MB |
| Region | India |
| Security patch | October 2026 |
The changelog is short. Samsung fixed a problem where the phone kept restarting after a software upgrade, an issue where ultra-wide photos looked green in Gallery, and a bug that turned photos completely black when the flash was on. The restart fix is the same one that arrived with the Galaxy A15 5G’s own Beta 3 earlier this week.
This follows Beta 2 (A166PXXU9ZZJ1), which fixed fast charging, a battery protection problem when the phone was powered off, and a camera timer icon issue. The first beta reached India in late September, and Samsung hasn’t announced when the beta will end or when the stable update will arrive.
The update is meant for Galaxy A16 5G users enrolled in the beta program. If you’re enrolled, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for it.
