Motorola surfaces special FIFA Edition of the Razr foldable

Motorola appears to be taking its foldable strategy into the global sporting spotlight with the emergence of a special FIFA World Cup edition of the Razr clamshell device, according to fresh leaks and renders shared by well-known tipster Evan Blass.

The leaked imagery shows a Razr that closely follows the design and hardware of the current Razr 60 but doused in FIFA World Cup 2026-inspired colours a bold turquoise-green gradient coupled with darker green accents. Unlike the standard models, this edition features an official FIFA 2026 logo subtly placed below Motorola’s batwing emblem on the back, giving it a distinctly tournament-themed aesthetic. Custom wallpapers and UI elements that lean into the FIFA branding are also expected, making this more than just a paint job.

Hardware is believed to remain the same as the regular Razr 60, with the familiar 6.9-inch foldable pOLED main display, 3.6-inch cover screen, and internal specs including a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset, a 50 MP primary camera, 13 MP ultrawide shooter, 32 MP selfie camera, and a 4,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. The special edition is largely a cosmetic celebration of Motorola’s role as an official FIFA 2026 partner, rather than a ground-up hardware overhaul. Industry insiders expect the FIFA edition Razr to be showcased around CES 2026, where Motorola is reportedly planning a suite of World Cup-related promotions potentially including sweepstakes, branded merchandise and prize bundles that may even include tickets to World Cup matches. Though the company has not officially confirmed the device or its pricing, the leaks align with Motorola’s broader strategy of tapping high-profile partnerships to boost awareness of its foldable lineup.
