Samsung Tests New Firmware for International Galaxy S24 Ultra

Galaxy S24 Series

A new test build for the international Galaxy S24 Ultra has been spotted, according to Tarun Vats. The firmware is S928BXXU6EZJB, and it comes after the stable One UI 9 rollout that began on October 12. Test builds like this one don’t confirm a release, and Samsung hasn’t announced when the international S24 Ultra will get its next update.

The letters in the build number give a clue about the timing. In Samsung’s naming, the J in EZJB stands for October, while the previous public build, EZIF, is a September build. That fits an October update, and the S24 series is already getting one in South Korea on firmware ending in EZJ1. Samsung’s international updates usually follow Korea, so a global rollout would be the next step, but the gap between a test build appearing and a public release can vary, and some test builds never ship as they are.

Firmware trackers don’t list S928BXXU6EZJB yet. The newest public international build they show is still S928BXXU6EZIF, with the latest entries dated October 21. That supports the idea that EZJB is an internal build and not something users can download.

For now there is nothing to install. If you own an international S24 Ultra, you can check manually by opening Settings, tapping Software update, then Download and install, but the October update shouldn’t appear until Samsung starts the staged rollout. The build also doesn’t say whether the update adds any features, though the Korean October update reportedly adds none.
