Galaxy A37 and A35 Receive August Security Patch

Galaxy A37

Samsung has started pushing the August 2026 security patch to the Galaxy A37 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, and despite the name, it’s only reaching these two phones now in September. Both updates land on their international variants as part of a staged global rollout.

Per Samsung’s own Mobile Security bulletin, the August 2026 release covers 56 fixes total: 8 critical and 30 high-severity issues from Google’s Android bulletin, plus 18 Samsung-specific SVE fixes touching Galaxy Themes, Samsung Contacts, Dialer, Messages, AppLock, clipboard access, and media codecs. It’s a security-only release, nothing new added to the interface.

To check manually: Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it’s not there yet, that’s just the phased rollout.

This isn’t One UI 9, both phones are eligible for that Android 17 upgrade separately, and Samsung’s expected to open beta for both soon, following the same track already seen with the Galaxy A35’s One UI 9 beta prep. The late arrival also tracks with the wider squeeze on Samsung’s A-series this year, the Galaxy A37 just took a second price hike in India amid rising memory costs. Given how many critical fixes are in this patch, it’s worth installing as soon as it appears.
