OPPO is bringing a built-in cooling fan to a mainstream smartphone, and pairing it with an 8,000mAh battery, a combination that puts the K15 Pro+ firmly in gaming phone territory without the extreme aesthetic that usually comes with it. Reports point to two models in the K15 series, the K15 Pro and K15 Pro+, with the Pro+ sitting at the top carrying the most aggressive specs in the lineup.
The 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the headline number, and it matters because silicon-carbon technology allows that kind of capacity without making the phone unreasonably thick. Charging comes in at 100W, which means despite the large cell, topping up won’t take forever. The K15 Pro, one step below, carries a still-impressive 7,500mAh cell with 80W charging so even the standard model isn’t playing it safe on battery.

The cooling system is where the K15 Pro+ does something genuinely unusual for a mainstream device. Rather than relying solely on vapor chambers and graphite sheets like most flagships, OPPO has reportedly built in an active miniature fan working alongside a vapor chamber and graphite heat dissipation materials. This is the kind of setup you typically find in dedicated gaming phones from RedMagic or ASUS ROG bringing it to an OPPO K-series device expands the audience considerably.
Performance hardware matches the thermal ambition. The K15 Pro+ is expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The display is a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED at 165Hz fast enough to take full advantage of high frame rate gaming. IP69 water and dust resistance rounds out a durability spec that doesn’t usually show up on gaming-focused hardware.

Camera setup is practical rather than ambitious 50MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 16MP front camera. This phone isn’t being built around photography, and the spec sheet reflects that honestly.
China is the expected first market, with India potentially following. OPPO hasn’t officially confirmed global availability or pricing yet.
