OPPO has officially launched the K15 in China, bringing a gaming-focused feature set to the mid-range segment including a built-in active cooling fan, an 8,000mAh battery, and 80W fast charging, all starting at ¥2,299 (about $320).
Launch Details
The OPPO K15 went on sale July 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM through OPPO’s Chinese retail channels, launching in a single 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, available in Rapid White and Gale Gray. Early buyers reportedly get a bundled 20W fast-charging power bank as a launch incentive.
Performance
Powering the K15 is MediaTek’s Dimensity 7360 SUPER, built on a 4nm process with an octa-core CPU (4x Cortex-A78 up to 2.5GHz, 4x Cortex-A55 up to 2.0GHz) and a Mali-G615 GPU clocked up to 1047MHz. Paired with LPDDR4X RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and OPPO’s Tidal Engine optimization, it’s clearly built with sustained performance in mind rather than just benchmark numbers.
Active Cooling
What really sets the K15 apart in its price bracket is its cooling system, a built-in active cooling fan combined with a 4,950mm² VC vapor chamber and OPPO’s new Wind-Speed Cooling Engine. Most mid-rangers rely purely on passive cooling, so carrying over this active fan design from the K15 Pro is a notable differentiator for gamers on a budget.
Display and Cameras
The phone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display at 2760×1256 resolution, hitting 460 PPI with 60/90/120Hz adaptive refresh, 240Hz touch sampling, and peak brightness up to 1,200 nits under excitation mode. On the imaging side, it packs a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP front-facing selfie camera, a rare trio of matching 50MP sensors at this price point.
Battery
The 8,000mAh battery, built on OPPO’s Glacier Battery tech, is genuinely one of the largest in the mainstream smartphone segment right now. Paired with 80W SuperVOOC charging and bypass charging support for gaming sessions, battery anxiety shouldn’t be a concern here.
Design and Durability
The K15 sports a metal frame, Crystal Shield Glass back with a “Storm Cloud” pattern, and three “Lan Shadow” breathing light zones for a gamer-leaning aesthetic. It also carries an IP69 rating of unusually robust dust and water resistance for a performance-focused mid-ranger plus an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual-frequency GPS with tri-frequency BeiDou support.
