A fresh leak suggests OPPO is preparing to blow past its own battery records. According to a report citing tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming A7 Pro Max could ship with a 10,000mAh single-cell battery which would make it the largest battery OPPO has ever put in a smartphone.
Everything about this leak points to a phone built around endurance first. Earlier reports had already hinted at OPPO testing a mid-range device with a battery rated around 9,700mAh, so this new leak lines up neatly with what’s been rumored for weeks. The upside of a battery this size should be obvious: multi-day use, longer gaming sessions, and far fewer trips to the charger.
Surprisingly, OPPO isn’t skimping on charging speed to compensate for the bigger cell. The A7 Pro Max is rumored to support 80W wired fast charging, which is quick recharging for a battery this large.
Leaks point to a 6.78-inch flat OLED display running at 1.5K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner spec numbers that would normally belong to a phone well above the mid-range.
If accurate, the A7 Pro Max would be among the first phones to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, bringing better CPU performance, improved efficiency, and stronger AI processing than previous Snapdragon 4-series chips.
The camera setup tells its own story: a 50MP main sensor paired with just a 2MP secondary lens, plus a 50MP selfie camera. It’s a clear signal that OPPO is prioritizing battery life over photography chops here.
Despite the massive cell, the phone is rumored to measure just 8.47mm thick and weigh 226g, numbers that would be impressive even without factoring in the battery.
