OnePlus has officially confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 15R will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, marking a major upgrade over the previous generation and the highest-resolution selfie camera ever on an R-series device.
The new 32MP selfie shooter will support autofocus and 4K video recording at 30fps, making it a notable improvement for video calls, vlogging, and social media use. This is a significant jump from the 16MP front camera on the OnePlus 13R.
Alongside the selfie camera upgrade, the OnePlus 15R is already confirmed to come with a 1.5K AMOLED display offering a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with a large 7,400mAh battery, positioning it as one of the most powerful phones in the R lineup so far.
The OnePlus 15R is scheduled to launch on December 17, with India among the first markets. With its upgraded front camera and flagship-grade internals, the 15R is shaping up to be a strong mid-premium contender.
