Meta has officially launched Seller, a standalone iPhone app built exclusively for people selling on Facebook Marketplace, marking the platform’s first dedicated seller tool and arriving right as Marketplace celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Rather than juggling listings inside the main Facebook app, Seller strips away the social feed, Groups, and Reels entirely, focusing purely on listing creation, inventory management, buyer messaging, and sales analytics all in one distraction-free space.
The standout feature is Meta AI-powered listing creation. Snap a photo of an item, and the app generates a title, description, category, and suggested price automatically cutting down what used to be a manual, repetitive process for anyone listing multiple items.
Seller also includes a unified inbox for buyer messages and offers, full inventory controls to edit or mark items sold, and performance insights showing listing views and buyer engagement. Meta continues supporting Boosted Listings inside the app too, letting sellers pay for extra visibility without leaving the seller-focused environment.
This isn’t built for casual buyers; it’s aimed at resellers, thrift and vintage sellers, small businesses, and side hustlers managing real sales volume, since Marketplace now sees more than 430 million listings monthly.
Seller is live now on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Silicon Macs, requiring iOS 15.1 or later and roughly a 482MB download. It’s initially U.S.-only for users 18 and up, with Android and web versions reportedly still in testing.
This follows Meta’s earlier 2026 launch of Forum, a standalone Groups app, suggesting Meta is deliberately splitting Facebook’s heavier workflows into dedicated apps rather than cramming everything into one platform.
