Honor X80 Pro Max Tipped to Feature Massive 11,000mAh Battery

Honor’s X80 lineup is shaping up to be bigger than initially expected and we mean that literally. A new leak from prolific Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station suggests a Pro Max variant is in the works, sitting above the standard X80 that’s already tipped to launch in China later this month.

According to the leak, the Honor X80 Pro Max will carry an 11,000mAh battery  1,000mAh more than the standard X80’s already-generous 10,000mAh cell  paired with 90W wired fast charging. On a battery that size, that charging speed matters; otherwise you’d be tethered to a wall for hours.

The display is said to be a 6.8-inch flat AMOLED panel running at 2788 × 1280 pixels, with slim bezels and rounded corners  very much in line with what Honor has been doing across its recent mid-rangers. Under the hood, the Pro Max reportedly shares the same Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset as the standard X80, which Qualcomm positions as a smooth-performer for everyday tasks and solid 5G connectivity.

What sets the Pro Max apart beyond the battery, though, is durability. The leak mentions full water resistance, a drop-resistant design, and flagship-level biometric authentication  features you wouldn’t normally expect at this price tier. If those hold up at launch, Honor could be making a genuinely compelling case for buyers who want a durable, long-lasting phone without flagship pricing.

No launch timeline has been shared for the Pro Max yet. With the standard X80 reportedly landing in China this month, expect more details to surface soon.
