Samsung has reportedly released stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy A15 in India, according to the original post. The Indian firmware is A156EDXUAFZJC, and the build prefix points to the Galaxy A15 5G. It follows the One UI 9 beta 3 that the similar Galaxy A16 5G got in India earlier this month. Samsung hasn’t announced the rollout, so the details below rest on that report.
| Detail | Info |
| Phone | Galaxy A15 5G (SM-A156E, per the build prefix) |
| Update | Stable One UI 9, based on Android 17 |
| Region | India |
| PDA and phone build | A156EDXUAFZJC |
| CSC build | A156EODMAFZJC |
| Download size and security patch | Not confirmed |
| Official announcement | None |
The A15 5G already received stable One UI 9 in South Korea on October 28, where it is sold as the Galaxy Buddy 3 and carries build A156LKSUAEZJC, according to SammyGuru’s rollout tracker. The Indian build ends in AFZJC and not AEZJC, so it is a different package, which is normal for a regional release. India also had the A15 5G on its beta track, with a second beta around September 30 and a third on October 14, so the beta users are probably first in line, but the report doesn’t say whether this is only for them or for everyone.
The report calls the phone the Galaxy A15 and doesn’t mention the 4G model, and the SammyGuru tracker still lists the Galaxy A15 4G as awaiting release with no build. Other budget A-series phones got the update earlier, such as the Galaxy A56 and A36 in South Korea and the Galaxy A55 and A35.
If you own an A15 5G in India, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. Rollouts come in batches, so it may take a few days to appear.
