Samsung has reportedly started rolling out stable One UI 9 for the Galaxy A54 beyond South Korea, according to Tarun Vats. The international firmware is A546EXXUNGZJ5, and it follows the Korean release that began on October 28, after the Galaxy A55 and A35 got stable One UI 9 in South Korea. Samsung hasn’t announced the rollout itself, so the list of countries comes from user reports.
| Detail | Info |
| Phone | Galaxy A54 5G |
| Update | Stable One UI 9, based on Android 17 |
| International firmware | A546EXXUNGZJ5 |
| Countries reported | India, Greece, Romania and the UAE, plus other markets |
| Download size | Over 2GB, reported |
| Korean build | A546SKSUKGZJ5, started October 28 for beta participants |
| Security patch | Not confirmed for the international build |
| Official announcement | None |
The package is much bigger than the roughly 270MB update that South Korean beta participants received, which makes sense because those users were already on the One UI 9 beta and only needed the final step. Anyone coming from the stable One UI 8.5 build gets the full upgrade. The report names four countries and mentions “other regions,” so it isn’t clear that every market or carrier has it, and Samsung usually rolls updates out in batches over a few days.
The update brings Android 17 to the A54, and this is the phone’s last major OS upgrade. It launched in 2023 with Android 13, and Samsung promised four generations of Android updates, so security updates are what remain after this. One report lists a redesigned Quick Panel, Now Brief customizations, better split-screen multitasking, My FanCam, Samsung DeX improvements and new Galaxy AI features, but that list is only partly sourced and some of it may not apply to a mid-range phone, so it’s worth waiting for the official changelog before expecting any of it. The A54 had already been on public beta in India since late September, as was the Galaxy A16 5G, which later got One UI 9 beta 3 in India with three fixes, which fits that market getting the stable build early. Other A-series phones such as the Galaxy A56 and A36 already received stable One UI 9 in South Korea.
If you own an A54, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. Back up important data first, and if nothing shows up yet, check again over the next few days.
