Samsung has released the second One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, and it’s a more substantial update than the usual bug-fix beta; it brings four Galaxy AI features down from Samsung’s newer hardware to the 2025 flagship lineup. The beta is based on Android 17 and is currently rolling out in India, South Korea, the UK, and the US.

All four features originally debuted on the Galaxy S26 series and the Z Fold8/Z Flip8 lineup earlier this year, so their arrival on the S25 marks Samsung pushing its newer Galaxy AI capabilities down to last year’s flagship rather than keeping them exclusive to 2026 hardware. It’s the kind of feature parity that’s become a bigger part of how Samsung differentiates the S25 lineup from older Galaxy phones generation over generation, and it raises a real possibility not yet confirmed that the same features eventually land on the Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and S25 FE too.
Beyond the AI additions, Beta 2 also includes the usual stability pass: fixes for Bixby Vision translation errors, Wi-Fi disconnection issues, and a Contacts app crash are all part of the update. The build carries firmware S93xNKSUCZZI4 and comes in at roughly 650MB, though the exact size shifts slightly by model and market.
For context, the S25 series only opened its One UI 9 beta program at the start of September, so this second build has arrived quickly about a week after Beta 1. Samsung hasn’t given a stable-release date yet, and given how central Galaxy AI has become to how Samsung positions its flagships against the competition, there’s likely at least one more beta build before the S25 gets its final One UI 9 release.
