Samsung Galaxy A27 Goes Official with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

Samsung’s budget lineup just got a meaningful upgrade. The Galaxy A27 has appeared on Samsung’s official Czech listing and while pricing and a global release date haven’t been confirmed yet, the full specification sheet is now public. The headline isn’t the camera or the battery, it’s the software promise sitting underneath all of it.

The design is immediately recognizable as Galaxy A-series 162.4 × 78.2 × 7.8mm at 200 grams four color options in Black, Blue, Light Pink, and Light Green. Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating keep it protected in everyday conditions, though buyers wanting full submersion protection will need to look at the A57 or higher.

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED at 120Hz with FHD+ resolution is a meaningful step up from older A2x models that often shipped with LCD panels. At 800 nits brightness, outdoor visibility is comfortable not flagship-level, but respectable for the price segment. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner handles security quickly and reliably.

Performance comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 replacing the Exynos solutions Samsung previously used in some A-series models, a change that should improve consistency and sustained performance. RAM options run from 6GB to 8GB LPDDR5X with 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a microSD slot supports up to 2TB expansion, a feature Samsung has been removing from higher-end models that its budget lineup still sensibly retains.

The camera system leads with a 50MP OIS main sensor optical stabilization at this price is genuinely useful alongside a 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro. The 12MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. 4K at 30fps is supported for video recording.

Battery is a familiar 5,000mAh with 25W wired charging adequate rather than impressive.

The software story is where Samsung makes its strongest argument. Android 16 with One UI 8.5 out of the box, six years of OS upgrades, and six years of security patches support running through 2032. In the mid-range Android market, that commitment is genuinely rare and genuinely valuable.

Global availability is expected soon based on regulatory approvals already cleared. If six-year software support at a budget price matters to you the Galaxy A27 deserves serious consideration.
