The Galaxy S26 series has started reaching more places since Samsung’s stable One UI 9 launch in South Korea on September 16. Samsung tipster Tarun Vats reported the update reaching the US on September 23, initially limited to T-Mobile carrier-locked models, before expanding to Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular variants a few days later. Most other regions and unlocked US units are still waiting.

The wider global date has been a moving target. Samsung’s Thailand newsroom originally listed September 21 for the broader rollout, then quietly changed it to September 28 once that date passed, and has since dropped a specific date entirely; the listing now just says “September 2026.” Samsung hasn’t explained the change, and while there’s speculation that testing turned up issues needing more time, that’s not confirmed.
The Galaxy S25 series looks close, at least. Samsung has already pushed a third beta build (roughly 600MB, firmware ending in ZZIC) focused on fixing notification panel and Camera app bugs. Three beta rounds is usually a sign the stable version isn’t far off. The Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, which went through the same September beta expansion as the S25 family, are expected to land around the same time, though exact regional timing can still differ.
The Galaxy S23 FE is worth a specific mention since its timeline just got vaguer, not clearer. It was previously listed for an October release, but Samsung’s wording has since shifted to “later this year” a small change, but one that suggests even Samsung’s own internal timeline for older devices isn’t fully locked in yet.
Everything past the S25/Z7 wave, the S24 series, S23 series, and the Z Fold6/Flip6 and Fold5/Flip5 generations is currently pointed at October, though as with everything else in this rollout, exact dates by country and carrier haven’t been nailed down. Given how much the S26’s own timeline has already shifted, the safest way to treat any of these October dates is as a plan rather than a promise, similar to how Samsung’s software support windows have generally been more reliable in commitment than in exact delivery dates.
