One UI 9 Global Release Dates Revealed for Galaxy Devices

Samsung has officially kicked off the One UI 9 rollout, and it’s now getting clearer when the rest of the Galaxy lineup will get in line. The stable update landed on the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea on September 16, with Samsung’s regional newsroom information pointing to September 21 for the wider global push. That same regional post also lists dates for the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and even the older Galaxy S23 FE.

The Galaxy S25 series joins on September 28, right after wrapping up an extended beta cycle that Samsung had expanded to more markets through September. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 share that same date, having gone through their own round of beta testing, including a recent build focused mainly on bug fixes. The Galaxy S23 FE gets the least precise timing just “October,” with no specific day attached yet.

It’s worth keeping some nuance here: Samsung hasn’t issued a single global press release listing every date. The September 21 and 28 dates come from a regional newsroom post, so while they likely reflect the broader rollout window, exact timing can still shift by country and carrier. Samsung’s own messaging keeps this open-ended too; the update is rolling out “in phases,” with availability varying by region and device.

What Samsung has confirmed directly: One UI 9 is built on Android 17, it began with the Galaxy S26 series, it already shipped on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, and Z Flip 8, and it brings features like My FanCam (which keeps a chosen subject centered and in focus while reframing recorded video), customizable Now Brief cards, and a new Warranty and Care section in Settings for checking coverage, running diagnostics, and viewing repair estimates.

Beyond September 28, Samsung hasn’t published a full device-by-device schedule, so dates for the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, A-series models, and older foldables remain unconfirmed for now.
