
Two Samsung devices believed to be the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra have shown up in China’s 3C certification database, both rated for 60W wired charging. Because 3C is a regulatory filing rather than a typical spec leak, this carries more weight than most pre-launch rumors.

The Ultra staying at 60W isn’t a surprise, since that’s the ceiling Samsung introduced with the generation before it, on the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s already-leaked camera redesign the S26 Ultra was the first S-series phone to hit that speed. What’s new is the Pro model matching it. If Samsung goes ahead with a Galaxy S27 Pro, it would be the first non-Ultra S-series flagship to reach the 60W tier, putting real distance between it and the S27+ at 45W. Both the Pro and Ultra are also expected to ship without a charger in the box, continuing what’s become standard practice for Samsung’s flagships.
Since 60W matches the S26 Ultra rather than exceeding it, any real charging improvement on the S27 Ultra would have to come from somewhere other than wattage larger battery capacity, a silicon-carbon anode, or more efficient charging management, rather than a higher advertised speed.
Battery numbers reported separately from the certification point to some meaningful jumps, though these figures haven’t been confirmed by Samsung:

If the 5,700mAh figure holds up, it would be a genuinely big change for the Ultra line, which has stayed at 5,000mAh since the very first Galaxy S Ultra back in 2020, roughly a 14% jump. Silicon-carbon battery technology is the most likely explanation for how Samsung could fit that much more capacity without a noticeably thicker phone, since it’s already used the technology in the Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, and Z Flip8. A separate, less reliable report has floated a 7,000mAh prototype used for testing, but that shouldn’t be read as the expected final number 5,700mAh is the more consistently reported figure.
One naming note worth being precise about: “Galaxy S27 Pro” is still an assumed name rather than something Samsung has confirmed. The certification only ties model numbers to the devices SM-S9570 and SM-S9580 with the Pro and Ultra names coming from separate reporting rather than the 3C filing itself.
