Apple’s iPhone 18e looks set to be a modest update over the iPhone 17e, with a new chip as its main upgrade. Weibo leaker Fixed Focus Digital says a new chip is the only upgrade he can currently confirm, MacRumors reports, and that the phone will share some manufacturing processes with the standard iPhone 18.
The chip is expected to be the standard A20, which Digital Chat Station says is built on a 2nm process and sits just below the A20 Pro in the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone Duo and the new iPad mini, with one fewer GPU core. Digital Chat Station also reports a 6.12-inch LTPS OLED display at 60Hz and a single 48MP rear camera, with the front camera possibly upgraded from 12MP to 24MP, though he was less definitive about that.

Fixed Focus Digital pointed to his correct call that the iPhone 17e would keep its notch while other sources expected a Dynamic Island, which hints that the 18e won’t get one either.
The iPhone 18e is expected in spring 2027, alongside the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2.
