Samsung has started expanding the stable One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy A17 4G beyond South Korea. An international build, A175FXXU7DZJ3, appeared in Samsung’s firmware records on October 26 and carries the October 5, 2026 security patch. A X reports the update being spotted in Europe, and another user says they installed it on a Galaxy A17 LTE in the Philippines. Samsung distributes updates in stages, so regional and carrier approval will decide when each market sees it, and not every country has it yet.
The phone first received stable One UI 9 in South Korea on October 23, a few days after the 5G model. The international build is the same step the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55 have already taken after their own Korean releases.
| Model | Firmware | Status |
| Galaxy A17 4G (international) | A175FXXU7DZJ3 | Listed October 26, October 5 security patch |
| Galaxy A17 4G (South Korea) | A175NKSU7DZJ3 | Rolling out since October 23 |
| Galaxy A17 5G (South Korea) | A176LKSU4CZJ5 | Stable One UI 9 first reported in South Korea |
The A17 4G and A17 5G run separate firmware, so each owner should install only the update offered for their own model. This is a major Android upgrade rather than a monthly patch, and it is the same One UI 9.0 update the 4G model already received in South Korea. That means a refreshed interface, a more customizable Quick Panel, a blue location indicator and a redesigned Samsung Health, although some advanced Samsung Health features need a compatible Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring. The download size varies by region and the software currently installed.
To check, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. Back up your data first and keep the phone charged. The reports so far don’t mention Pakistan, so local A17 4G owners may need to wait for the update to reach their region.
