Galaxy S25 FE Gets Its Second One UI 9 Beta, Adding New Galaxy AI Features

The Galaxy S25 FE has received its second One UI 9.0 beta, arriving first in South Korea with firmware S731NKSU9ZZI4. It’s an incremental build following the FE’s first beta, and the standout addition is new Galaxy AI functionality.

It’s worth being precise about what’s confirmed here. The parallel Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra explicitly adds four features Now Nudge, My FanCam, Custom Cards in Now Brief, and Call Brief all of which originally debuted on the Galaxy S26 series and Z Fold8/Z Flip8. Reporting confirms the S25 FE build also brings new AI functionality, but Samsung hasn’t published a detailed FE-specific changelog listing all four features individually, so it’s safer to describe the FE update as bringing new Galaxy AI features rather than assuming the exact same four-feature set applies.

Alongside the AI additions, Beta 2 carries the same bug fixes rolling out across the rest of the S25 lineup: fixes for Bixby Vision translation errors, temporary Contacts app crashes, and Wi-Fi disconnection issues.

This is a meaningful update for the FE specifically, since it launched on One UI 8, making One UI 9 its first major Android OS upgrade. Samsung officially confirmed the S25 FE as part of the One UI 9 beta program on September 1, alongside the S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, Z Fold7, and Z Flip7, and the FE has moved quickly since Beta 1 arrived earlier in the month, with Beta 2 following about a week later. That pace mirrors how closely the FE tends to track the rest of the S25 lineup on software, even with its more budget-friendly hardware.

There’s still no stable release date for the S25 FE. Installing the beta requires enrolling through Samsung Members, then checking Settings, then Software update, then Download and install once registered. Samsung’s own Community post confirms the Korea rollout and firmware details.
