iPhone 18 Pro’s New Colors Are Leaking And Dark Cherry Is the One to Watch

Apple’s color story for the iPhone 18 Pro is starting to come into focus and it’s more restrained than last year’s Cosmic Orange experiment. Supply chain sources point to four colors currently in development: Light Blue, Dark Cherry, Silver, and Dark Gray.

Dark Cherry is the headline. Described as a deep, wine-like tone mapped to Pantone 6076 muted, premium, closer to a refined burgundy than anything vivid. It’s the spiritual opposite of Cosmic Orange, which is expected to be dropped entirely this cycle. Silver and Dark Gray anchor the lineup with familiar professional appeal, while Light Blue reportedly similar to the base iPhone 17’s Mist Blue offers a softer option.

The rest of the design story is incremental. A smaller Dynamic Island, tighter camera-to-glass gap on the rear, overall silhouette nearly identical to the 17 Pro. This isn’t a redesign year, it’s a refinement year, with color doing the heavy lifting for differentiation.

One critical caveat: the phone hasn’t entered mass production. These colors are still in development and Apple can change anything before September.

Dark Cherry sounds genuinely premium. If it ships as described, it might be the most compelling iPhone Pro color in years.
