Honor Magic8 Pro Air Goes Official With Ultra-Slim Design, 6.3″ AMOLED And 5,500mAh battery

Honor has officially launched the Magic8 Pro Air in China as its newest ultra-slim flagship smartphone, rounding out the Magic8 series with a device that blends high-end hardware and a lightweight form factor. The phone measures just 6.1 mm thick and weighs roughly 155 g, making it one of the slimmest premium phones available without major compromises in battery or performance.

At the heart of the Magic8 Pro Air is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of storage, delivering flagship-class performance for everyday use and multitasking. The device sports a 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and ultra-narrow bezels, offering a bright and immersive viewing experience.

Imaging is a strong suit for the Magic8 Pro Air, with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch main sensor with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide unit, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.2× optical zoom and up to 100× digital zoom. For selfies, there’s a 50 MP front camera capable of high-resolution shots and 4K video.

Despite its slim profile, the phone packs a 5,500 mAh battery with 80 W wired fast charging and 50 W wireless charging, thanks in part to efficient silicon-carbon battery technology. Other premium features include IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, NFC, and MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,999 (~$717) for the 12 GB + 256 GB model, with higher tier configurations (up to 16 GB + 1 TB) going up to CNY 5,999 (~$860). The phone goes on sale in China beginning January 23, 2026, and Honor has not yet confirmed global availability or timing.
