OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 15R in India. The new model sits below the OnePlus 15 Ultra and is aimed at users who want flagship-grade power without paying Ultra-level prices.

The OnePlus 15R comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The panel supports HDR content and is tuned for smooth scrolling and gaming, with slim bezels keeping the overall footprint in check.

At the core of the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, making the 15R one of the first phones in India to ship with the new processor. OnePlus pairs the chip with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should translate into fast app launches and stable performance under sustained workloads. The company has also included an upgraded cooling system to help manage heat during extended gaming sessions.

Battery life is one of the biggest highlights here. The OnePlus 15R packs a 7,400mAh battery, a capacity rarely seen in this segment. Charging is handled by 80W wired fast charging, allowing the phone to refill quickly despite the large battery. OnePlus says the battery is designed to retain long-term health over years of use.

The camera setup is more restrained compared to the company’s flagship Ultra models. The phone features a 50MP main camera on the back, accompanied by secondary sensors, while the front houses a 32MP autofocus selfie camera. Video recording tops out at 4K, including high-frame-rate options.

On the software side, the OnePlus 15R runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. The update brings smoother animations, system optimizations, and OnePlus’ latest AI-powered features, along with the brand’s usual customization options.
The OnePlus 15R is available in multiple color options and memory configurations, starting with 12GB of RAM. Sales begin through Amazon India, the OnePlus online store, and offline retail partners.
