T-Mobile customers impacted by the 2021 data breach are finally getting their settlement payments. The company’s $350 million class-action settlement, one of the largest in telecom history, is now being distributed to eligible users.
Those who filed valid claims are receiving payments via direct deposit, prepaid cards, or mailed checks. Early reports show average payouts of around $50–$60, while users who suffered verified financial losses could get up to $25,000.
The breach, which exposed data from more than 76 million customers, included names, addresses, and Social Security numbers. Following the incident, T-Mobile pledged over $150 million to improve its security systems and prevent future attacks.
Payments are rolling out gradually, so customers should keep an eye on their email or bank account notifications.
