Samsung has released the second One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, arriving roughly two weeks after the first beta and currently reported in India. The update is based on Android 17 and weighs in around 600.90MB, carrying a firmware build ending in ZZI4.

All four features originally debuted on Samsung’s newer hardware, and the S24 series picking them up now means Samsung’s 2024 flagships are catching up to functionality that launched on the S26 and Z Fold8/Flip8 generation the same features S24 Ultra owners weighing it against Apple’s current flagships will now find matching what’s on Samsung’s newest phones, at least on the software side.
Beyond the AI additions, Beta 2 fixes several issues from the first build: Bixby Vision translation errors, Contacts app crashes, and white-balance problems in the camera all get addressed, alongside general stability and performance improvements.
This builds on top of what Beta 1 already introduced: a more customizable Quick Panel, several Samsung DeX refinements, new Samsung Notes tools like Tape and extra pen styles, and accessibility additions including Text Spotlight, Keyboard Shortcuts, Mouse Keys, and Select to Speak. The first beta rolled out across India, South Korea, and the US, though Beta 2’s rollout shouldn’t be assumed to hit all three markets simultaneously. India is the only confirmed market so far.
Worth noting: the Galaxy S24 FE is on a separate One UI 9 beta track of its own and isn’t part of this particular S24-series rollout. There’s also still no confirmed stable release date for the S24 series Beta 2 is a sign Samsung is moving the software forward, but the final version remains untested outside the beta program for now.
