Samsung has started rolling out stable One UI 9, based on Android 17, to the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra in Europe, days after the update first reached South Korea. Beta users appear to be getting it first, and it’s the same One UI 9 update seen on other Galaxy devices.
| Detail | Galaxy S23 series |
| Update | Stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) |
| Region | Europe |
| Firmware | S91xBXXUAGZIF |
| Download size (beta users) | 516.69MB |
| Included models | Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra |
The firmware and download size were spotted by tipster Tarun Vats, via X. The small download reflects that these users were already on the One UI 9 beta, while phones not in the beta program will need a much larger package. The Korean release used the S91xNKSU8GZIF build, so the European version is a separate firmware, and the rollout is expected to widen to non-beta users and more countries soon. The Galaxy S23 FE isn’t part of this rollout.
The Galaxy A27 also reached Europe on the same day with a build ending in BZIF, following its South Korea release.
One UI 9 is expected to be the last major OS upgrade for the Galaxy S23 series. Samsung launched the phones with Android 13 and promised four major Android updates, which Android 17 completes. The phones will keep getting security updates under Samsung’s five-year commitment, but One UI 9.5 isn’t expected to reach them.
To check for the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
