Samsung’s Redesigned Beta Banner in Samsung Members Hints at an Upcoming One UI 9.5 Beta

One UI 9.5

Samsung has refreshed the One UI beta banner in its Samsung Members app, a small change that may point to an upcoming One UI 9.5 beta, according to Kailash. The new banner appeared on October 22 with updated graphics and reads “Be the first to try the latest version of One UI,” but it doesn’t name One UI 9.5, give a date or open registration. Samsung hasn’t announced a beta, and the redesign could simply be a cosmetic update to the app. It does add to the signs of progress on One UI 9.5, which has been in internal testing since August.

Public beta timingUnconfirmed; December based on the One UI 8.5 cycle, early November in some reports
Stable releaseExpected early 2027 with the Galaxy S27 series, unconfirmed

The December guess comes from last year’s schedule. Samsung opened the One UI 8.5 beta on December 8, 2025, about three months after stable One UI 8 began rolling out, and it has only just wrapped up the One UI 9 beta. A similar gap would put the One UI 9.5 beta in December, possibly starting with the Galaxy S26 series. Some reports argue for early November and link it to rumors of an earlier Galaxy S27 launch, but neither the date nor the S26 as the first phone is confirmed. A banner refresh is also not the same as Samsung enabling registration.

The software itself is well along. Samsung is already testing One UI 9.5 on the Galaxy S26, and test builds have also been reported for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, A57 and A17 5G. Being in internal testing doesn’t mean a phone will join the public beta at the same time. Leaks so far point to native App Lock, a frosted and layered interface, AI search in the Phone app, smoother animations, camera app changes, a redesigned fingerprint setup and App Mirroring, though none of these are confirmed for the final release.

If Samsung does open the beta, sign-up should appear as a banner or card in Samsung Members in supported markets, with eligible phones then finding the build under Settings, Software update. Beta builds can be buggy, so back up your data before installing one.
