Samsung has started rolling out the October 2026 security update to the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in Europe and the US, following an earlier release for the S25 series in South Korea. It’s the first update for these phones since they received stable One UI 9, and it’s a security-only release with no new features reported. It’s the same patch, documented in Samsung’s security bulletin, that reached the Galaxy S26 series in the US and Canada earlier this month, and SamMobile puts the number of fixes at 62.
| Device | Europe | US (Verizon) |
| Galaxy S25 | S93xBXXSDDZJ1 | S931USQSDDZJ1 |
| Galaxy S25+ | S93xBXXSDDZJ1 | S936USQSDDZJ1 |
| Galaxy S25 Ultra | S93xBXXSDDZJ1 | S938USQSDDZJ1 |
| Galaxy S25 Edge | Not reported | S937USQSADZJ1 |
| Galaxy S25 FE | Rolling out in multiple regions | S731USQS9CZJ2 |
| Galaxy Z Fold 7 | F966BXXSDCZJ1 | F966USQSDCZJ1 |
| Galaxy Z Flip 7 | F766BXXSDCZJ1 | F766USQSDCZJ1 |
The S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra got the update first in South Korea, where it carried the S93xNKSSDDZJ2 build and weighed in at 539.24MB. The foldables skipped that step, with Samsung rolling out the Fold 7 and Flip 7 updates globally from day one instead of starting in Korea. Verizon’s support pages listed all seven US models on October 22.
Samsung typically staggers its monthly updates by country, model and carrier, so the update may not appear on every phone straight away. To check, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
