Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70 5G in India, adding a mid-priced model to its F-series between the Galaxy F70e and the Galaxy F70 Pro. The phone pairs a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, an Exynos 1330 chip and a 5,000mAh battery. Samsung announced the October 18 launch on a Flipkart microsite, and early launch coverage puts the first sale at October 20. Here is everything reported about the phone so far.
Display

The front is a flat 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (2340 × 1080) and a waterdrop notch, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Most listings, including Flipkart’s, say the refresh rate is 90Hz, although a few early reports claimed 120Hz. Treat 90Hz as the more likely figure. One spec database lists peak brightness at 1,100 nits, but Samsung’s own number hasn’t been confirmed.
Performance and memory

Samsung uses its own 5nm Exynos 1330, an octa-core chip with two 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 cores, six 2GHz Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. RAM is 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X, and storage is 128GB of UFS 2.2. A microSD slot supports cards up to 2TB, which is unusual at this price. The sheet closely resembles the Galaxy F17 5G Samsung launched in India last year, and the Galaxy A17 5G that Samsung is reportedly testing One UI 9.5 on, so this is an incremental update rather than new hardware.
Cameras

The rear camera has three sensors: a 50MP main camera (f/1.8) with OIS, a 5MP ultra-wide (f/2.2) and a 2MP macro (f/2.4). Samsung markets the stabilization as “No Shake Cam.” The main sensor is listed as a 1/2.76-inch Samsung ISOCELL unit, and rear video tops out at Full HD at 30fps, with a Video Pro mode. The front camera is 13MP (f/2.0) and records Full HD video at 30fps.
Battery and charging
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging over USB-C. That is a normal capacity for this segment, and the charging speed is modest. No wireless charging is mentioned in any listing.

Design and durability
At 7.5mm thick and 192g, Samsung calls it the slimmest phone in its segment, which is the company’s own claim. The dimensions are 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.5mm, and the fingerprint sensor sits on the side. The phone is rated IP54 for dust and splash resistance, so it can handle light rain but not submersion.
Software and updates
Samsung promotes Google Gemini, Circle to Search, Samsung Wallet with Tap and Pay, Quick Share, Voice Focus and Knox security. Several listings say the phone ships with Android 15 and One UI 7, but Samsung’s own materials don’t state a version, so we can’t confirm it. If that is true, the phone launches two Android versions behind the One UI 9 that the Galaxy A18 runs (see the A18 launch). Update promises also differ by source: four Android upgrades and five years of security patches is the most common figure, one spec database says five OS upgrades, and some early reports assumed six. Check Samsung’s product page before relying on any of these.
Price and availability
The Galaxy F70 5G comes in two versions, both with 128GB of storage. Prices below are launch list prices in India.
| Variant | List price | Reported offer price |
| 4GB RAM + 128GB | ₹19,999 (about $210) | ₹17,999 |
| 6GB RAM + 128GB | ₹22,999 (about $245) | ₹20,999 |
The first sale starts on October 20 at 12 PM IST on Flipkart, and most reports say Samsung’s India website will sell it too. The offer prices depend on bank and card discounts, and the exact cards and conditions weren’t listed in the reports we found. One report saw an effective price of ₹17,099 on Flipkart’s buy button for the base model, so the final figure will vary with your payment method. The phone comes in Bold Black and Vivid Violet. A 25W charger isn’t mentioned as part of the package, and at least two reports say the adapter is sold separately.
