Galaxy S25 Series Receives One UI 9 Beta 3 Update

Samsung has pushed out the third One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, arriving as build ZZIC at around 600MB, just days after Beta 2. It’s confirmed live in India via Samsung’s community forum, part of the same Android 17-based beta program Samsung expanded to the S25 lineup back in September.

Unlike the earlier betas, this one is squarely a bug-fix pass rather than a feature drop. Samsung says it fixes a notification panel issue where the panel could fail to close properly on the lock screen, plus general camera stability improvements aimed at cutting down on app crashes and glitches. Nothing new has been added on top of what Beta 1 and Beta 2 already introduced.

That thin changelog is itself a signal, betas this close to a stable release tend to shrink down to polish and bug fixes, and Samsung has set September 28 as the target for the S25 family’s stable One UI 9 rollout. Reinforcing that timeline, a stable build tagged DZIC has reportedly already turned up on Samsung’s servers, though a server-side build isn’t the same thing as a public release just yet.

The S25 series has moved through this beta quickly: Beta 1 landed September 1 at roughly 3.8GB across India, South Korea, the UK, and the US, the same wave that brought the Galaxy S25 FE into beta testing too, followed by Beta 2 in early September and now Beta 3 today. The Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are riding along on a similar schedule and should get their stable release around the same time as the S25 line.

Everything else in Samsung’s queue is moving on a slower clock. The Galaxy S24 series, along with the S23 and the older Z Fold6/Flip6 generation, isn’t expected to see stable One UI 9 until sometime in October, putting the S25 family well ahead of the rest of Samsung’s current lineup in this rollout cycle.
