Spotify has started rolling out a new update that places live lyrics directly on the Now Playing screen, removing the need for extra taps or swipes while listening to music.
With this change, lyrics now appear right below the playback controls and scroll in real time, staying perfectly synced with the song. The feature is powered by Musixmatch and works for tracks that already support lyrics on the platform.

The update is currently being rolled out gradually to users on both Android and iOS, so availability may vary by region and account. No manual setting is required; the lyrics automatically show up once the feature is enabled for a user.
Spotify continues to offer lyrics for both Free and Premium users, although some regional limitations may still apply. The move brings Spotify closer to rivals like Apple Music, which already offers tightly integrated lyric support.
