Xiaomi 18 Pro Leak Reveals New Colors and Rear Materials

New leaks point to multiple color options and rear-panel materials for the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, suggesting Xiaomi is planning more than a single finish across the lineup this time around. Reports don’t attach a source with a strong public track record to these particular details, so treat the specifics as early rather than settled, though the broader direction lines up with how Xiaomi has handled Pro-series variants before.

The leaked information points to glass rear panels paired with aluminum frames, with matte finishes floating around as one of the possible options. None of that is confirmed yet, and Xiaomi hasn’t announced either phone officially, but reports place both models on track for a September 2026 launch.

The more interesting detail sits on the back of the phone rather than in the color options. The rear secondary display, which has become one of the more distinctive design choices in Xiaomi’s Pro lineup, is reportedly growing to around 4 inches, up from the smaller panel used on the Xiaomi 17 Pro generation. That’s a meaningful jump for a feature most other flagship makers still don’t offer at all, and a larger rear screen would let Xiaomi push further into things like richer widgets, camera previews for selfies shot with the main sensors, and more useful glanceable information without unlocking the phone.

If these details hold, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series looks less like a spec bump and more like Xiaomi doubling down on what already sets it apart from Samsung and Apple’s flagships. For buyers who found the 17 Pro’s rear display gimmicky, a bigger, presumably more functional version is the detail worth watching before September.
