Vivo just made the foldable phone conversation more interesting. The X Fold6 has an official launch date June 26 in China and pre-orders are already live on vivo’s official store alongside Tmall and JD.com. After days of teaser posts on Weibo, the full reveal is less than two weeks away.
What vivo has officially confirmed so far is already compelling. The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition powers the device, a customized, higher-clocked variant of MediaTek’s flagship chip that sits above the standard Dimensity 9500 found in most competitors. The 200MP primary rear camera is the camera headline, continuing Vivo’s push into professional photography territory that began with the X300 Ultra. An 8.02-inch inner foldable display gives the X Fold6 a genuinely tablet-like experience when opened, and the phone runs OriginOS 6 Fold, a version of vivo’s software specifically optimized for the foldable form factor.

The official unboxing video revealed a new Blue Hole color option and a closer look at the accessories shipping in the retail box. The X Fold6 also supports vivo’s Zeiss 200mm Teleconverter G2 and the 2.35x teleconverter that debuted with the X200 Ultra making this a serious option for mobile photographers who want zoom flexibility beyond what the main camera system alone provides.
Rumored but not yet confirmed: a 6,900mAh battery, 50MP ultrawide camera, and 6.51-inch cover display. More details are expected from vivo before the June 26 event.
Pre-orders are live in China right now. June 26 is the date and the confirmed specs alone make this one of the most anticipated foldables of mid-2026.
