Samsung Begins One UI 9 Development for Galaxy A24 4G

Samsung has quietly begun internal development of One UI 9 for the Galaxy A24 4G, with new firmware builds spotted on Samsung’s internal servers following the device’s recent stable One UI 8.5 rollout. No official announcement yet this is early-stage internal testing, not a confirmed release timeline.

Right now, the Galaxy S26 series remains the only lineup officially enrolled in Samsung’s public One UI 9 beta program. Whether Galaxy A-series devices like the A24 get a public beta before stable release hasn’t been confirmed either way.

The Galaxy A24 is genuinely eligible for this update though. It launched with Android 13 and One UI 5.1, then received Android 14, 15, and 16 in sequence meaning One UI 9 based on Android 17 will be its fourth and final major OS upgrade under Samsung’s four-generation update policy.

Expected features carrying over from the broader One UI 9 rollout include a redesigned customizable Quick Panel, DeX improvements where supported, updated Game Booster tools, a new location privacy indicator, and meaningful accessibility upgrades Text Spotlight, improved Select to Speak, refreshed TalkBack, and Mouse Keys updates.

The rollout sequence is predictable. Stable One UI 9 is expected around July 2026, starting with flagships and foldables. Mid-range A-series devices typically follow several months later, with no official Galaxy A24 timeline published yet.
