After the Galaxy A56, the Galaxy A35 is quietly building a stronger case for an early One UI 9 beta than its newer sibling, the A37, and the evidence is coming straight from Samsung’s own test servers. A One UI 9 build for the A35 has reportedly surfaced there, followed by newer beta-test firmware, a progression that usually signals a phone is being lined up for public testing rather than staying in internal-only builds.
The A37 isn’t sitting idle either. Test builds like A376BXXU3BZG1 confirm Samsung is actively running Android 17 and One UI 9 through the phone internally, and more recent European test builds show that work hasn’t slowed down. But right now, trackers still classify the A37’s testing as internal, not the kind of public beta program Samsung has only officially confirmed for the Galaxy S26 series so far.
What makes this worth watching is the order things seem to be happening in. A37 being the newer device doesn’t guarantee it gets first access to a public beta, Samsung has run selective beta rollouts before, and earlier reporting suggested the company might limit One UI 9 beta testing to just one or two A-series models rather than opening it up across the whole lineup. If that pattern holds, the A35 pulling ahead in firmware evidence could mean it’s the one Samsung picks, even though the A37 is the more recent release.
Neither phone has an official beta yet, so anyone hoping to test One UI 9 on either device is still watching firmware trackers rather than downloading anything through Samsung Members.
