Apple released the first public beta of iOS 27.2 on September 22, alongside iPadOS, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS, and tvOS 27.2. The standout addition being tested is a redesigned Health app with new Insights, Longevity, and Browse sections, including a Health Age estimate based on activity, VO₂ max, and sleep though Apple says this redesign won’t actually ship with the final 27.2 release, it’s testing now for a later 2026 rollout.

Siri AI’s language expansion is the other major piece, adding five languages on top of its English-only launch also rolling out to macOS Golden Gate 27.2. Smaller additions include Apple TV profiles arriving on iPhone, Dual Capture extending to Group FaceTime, and minor interface tweaks in Podcasts and Music.
One thing worth explaining: Apple skipped iOS 27.1 entirely for this beta cycle. That version is reserved specifically for the iPhone Duo, launching alongside the foldable on October 23 with interface changes built around its two displays, a much bigger jump in how Apple’s software adapts to new hardware than a typical point release usually brings. Apple hasn’t confirmed a final release date for 27.2 itself, but the October timing on Siri’s new languages suggests it lands sometime that month.
