Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Stable One UI 9 Update Goes Global

Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

Stable One UI 9, based on Android 17, is now reaching the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in India, making it one of the first markets outside South Korea and the US to get the update. SamMobile reports that the rollout is currently limited to users enrolled in the One UI 9 beta program, and that non-beta phones should receive it very soon, though no date has been given. The India build for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is F956BXXU4EZIH, according to tipster Tarun Vats, and the download is about 468.43MB. The report doesn’t list a build or size for the Z Flip 6.

The India release is the same update that began with the Fold 6 and Flip 6 in South Korea, so the features are unchanged, including a more customizable Quick Panel, DeX and Notes improvements and a location privacy indicator. The small download size applies to beta testers moving to the final build, as with the South Korea release, while people updating from the previous stable version should expect a much larger package.

Samsung has been bringing the update to its older flagships in stages. The Galaxy S25 series received it in India and Europe earlier this month, and the Galaxy S24 series started in South Korea on the same day as the Fold 6 and Flip 6.

To check for the update, open Settings, tap Software update, then Download and install. Availability still depends on your region, carrier and whether you are on the beta.
