Galaxy A07 5G Gets One UI 9 Beta Update

Samsung appears to have quietly opened One UI 9 beta testing for the Galaxy A07 5G in India, spotted through firmware A076BXXU5ZZI5 credited to tipster Mohammed Khatri. If it holds up, that makes the A07 5G one of the cheapest phones Samsung has ever let into an Android 17 beta program.

There’s a distinction worth making here: Samsung’s September 1 beta expansion announcement named the Z Fold7, Z Flip7, S25 series, and S25 FE specifically, with no standalone mention of the A07 5G. That said, Samsung’s own published list of One UI 9-eligible devices does already include the Galaxy A07 line, so today’s firmware sighting fits inside confirmed eligibility even without its own dedicated press moment, more a quiet rollout than an unannounced one.

It’s also not coming out of nowhere. Samsung’s development servers turned up an earlier One UI 9 build for the A07 back in June, tagged A075FXXU5DZF7, which suggested the software work was already underway months before any beta went public. Worth noting that build carried a different model prefix than today’s A076B firmware, a reminder that “Galaxy A07” and “Galaxy A07 5G” aren’t quite interchangeable when it comes to firmware tracking.

Right now, the A07 5G (SM-A076E) is running Android 16 with One UI 8.5, on a build dated September 15 carrying the September 5 security patch. A jump to One UI 9 would be the phone’s next major software leap rather than a routine patch. There’s no confirmed A07-specific changelog yet, so it’s not safe to assume every flagship-level One UI 9 feature carries down to this tier, Samsung has said feature sets can vary by device even within the same beta wave. It’s also a separate story from the Galaxy A07s, the step-up model Samsung’s been developing alongside it.

For anyone eligible, joining works the standard way, Samsung Members app, registering through the beta banner, then Settings > Software update. Given there’s no dedicated Samsung announcement for this specific device yet, availability should be treated as region-dependent rather than assumed to be rolling out everywhere at once.

If accurate, it continues a pattern Samsung’s leaned into all year, pushing One UI 9 testing further down its lineup than usual, following similar moves already seen on phones like the Galaxy A36. No stable release timeline has been attached to any of it yet.
