Galaxy S25 FE owners might not have to wait until next year to get a taste of One UI 9. Reports say Samsung is testing One UI 9 builds on the S25 FE, and that testing could eventually turn into a public beta the phone’s owners can actually install. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the firmware activity behind this claim is real, and Samsung has a track record of expanding its beta program in stages, so the story holds up better than most day-one leaks.
What makes this notable is timing. Samsung kicked off the One UI 9 beta with the Galaxy S26 series first, not older hardware, which is a shift from how it usually opens testing to a wider range of devices early. Reports also point to internal builds already running on the S24 FE, S23 FE, S25 Edge, and the standard S25 lineup, which suggests Samsung is working through its FE and flagship families in parallel rather than treating the S25 FE as an afterthought.
One UI 9 itself is built on Android 17 and is expected to bring updated AI and personalization tools, revamped Samsung Notes, and accessibility and security improvements, according to Samsung’s own beta materials. Samsung’s community support team has said it can’t confirm a specific month for the S25 FE rollout, though some reports point to August 2026 as a possible window.
If you own an S25 FE, the realistic move is to keep an eye on Samsung Members rather than expect an enrollment date anytime soon. Testing existing doesn’t guarantee a beta ships, but it’s usually the clearest sign one is coming.
