The Galaxy M47 5G officially launched today in India under the tagline “Next Level Monster” succeeding the Galaxy M36 5G with a Snapdragon chipset, a sizable battery, and a software support commitment that genuinely outclasses most competitors at this price.
That software promise is the real headline here. The M47 ships with Android 16 and One UI 8.5, backed by six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates flagship-level longevity on a phone priced firmly in the mid-range. Most competitors in this segment offer three to four years at best, making Samsung’s commitment a genuine differentiator rather than marketing language.
The hardware backs up the everyday usability angle. A 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display at 120Hz with FHD+ resolution and Vision Booster technology handles outdoor visibility, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Connectivity covers 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, a detail many manufacturers have abandoned that Samsung still includes.
