Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Launches in India on June 29

Samsung is bringing a genuinely well-specced mid-ranger to India next week. The Galaxy M47 5G has an official launch date of June 29, 2026, and Samsung has already confirmed enough about the phone to make a strong case for its target audience buyers in the ₹25,000–₹30,000 range who want a capable everyday device without compromising on the basics.

The display is one of the clearest selling points. A 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection is a strong combination at this price point. Super AMOLED at 120Hz means better contrast, punchier colors, and scrolling that feels noticeably smoother than the IPS LCD screens that still show up on competing devices in this segment.

Powering things is a Snapdragon chipset Samsung hasn’t officially named the exact model yet, though most reports point to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, the performance floor here should be comfortable for social media, streaming, and casual gaming without any serious lag.

The camera setup is practical rather than flashy. A 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization handles the heavy lifting, supported by a 5MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro. The 12MP front camera records 4K video, which is a detail worth noting 4K selfie recording at this price is still relatively uncommon. The rear cameras also support 4K, rounding out a setup that covers most everyday shooting scenarios well.

Charging is confirmed at 45W with bypass charging support, which routes power directly to the phone during gaming sessions to reduce heat buildup and protect battery longevity over time. Battery capacity hasn’t been officially confirmed, but reports lean toward 5,000mAh or 6,000mAh either figure is reasonable for a phone this size.

The software commitment is where the M47 5G genuinely stands out from the crowd. Six Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates on a mid-range phone is a serious promise, and it puts the M47 5G ahead of most competitors in its class on long-term value.
