Honor just launched the X80 Pro Max with an 11,000mAh battery, the largest the brand has ever packed into a smartphone. Most companies would call that a headline feature and move on. Honor, apparently, is already chasing something bigger.
According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, a new device currently in testing could carry a staggering 14,000mAh battery. The tipster didn’t name the brand directly, but the emoji used in the post is one commonly associated with Honor strongly suggesting this is indeed Honor’s work. The device is reportedly still in the NPI (New Product Introduction) stage, meaning it’s undergoing internal validation rather than approaching imminent launch.

This connects to an earlier rumor about the Honor Power3, which was previously reported to carry a battery somewhere between 11,000mAh and 12,000mAh. It’s plausible Honor has since upgraded that same project to the larger 14,000mAh cell, though that connection remains speculative until Honor confirms anything officially.
What’s clear is the pattern. Honor has been steadily pushing battery capacity records across its lineup for over a year now the Honor Win and Win RT both shipped with 10,000mAh batteries and active cooling fans, and the X80 Pro Max just pushed that further to 11,000mAh. A 14,000mAh device would represent another significant leap, and at that scale, dimensions and weight become genuinely interesting engineering questions.
